Feed-grade vs. human-grade
Most pet food ingredients are "feed grade"—meaning they meet a lower safety and quality bar than ingredients sold for human consumption. Human-grade ingredients meet the same standard as food made for people, from sourcing through handling.
Our bar: would we eat it?
Every ingredient in a Hound Song treat is something you could eat yourself. Bananas, peanut butter, oats, rolled oats, almond flour, applesauce, honey, cinnamon—nothing exotic, nothing you can't pronounce.
Why it matters
